Summary: Blaine surprises Kurt in New York for their first Valentine’s day “apart.” Based on this adorable video. 

“Why do you have a video camera in my face, Rachel?” Kurt asked as Rachel walked into his room in their small apartment. He was frankly exhausted and a little annoyed, because it was Valentine’s day and he hadn’t heard from Blaine all day. 

“Because I need to record your reaction, of course,” she answered. Then she turned, pulling a box out from the hallway and handing it to him. “I wonder who this is from?” she said, feigning innocence. 

“Ooooh,” said Kurt, pulling the package toward him as Rachel adjusted the video camera near him. His stomach jumped. This must be why Blaine hadn’t texted or replied to him all day - he was waiting for him to open the package he’d sent him.

He turned and put the package on his bed, pulling open the tape and folding back the box as Rachel walked around him. She was giggling. Kurt pulled red and pink colored tissue paper from the box with excitement, though he hadn’t found anything yet. Though it was a medium sized box, he didn’t find anything until the very bottom.
